Best Places to Take Engagement Photos in Fargo North Dakota

Orchard Glen Park, Fargo ND

Orchard Glen Park in South Fargo provides a beautiful backdrop for engagement photos at almost any time of the year. With beautiful wildflowers in the summer months to lush green grass and fall colors, something for everyone can be found here.  You can get a variety of different types of photos all in the same park without having to drive to another location.

Island Park and Gazebo

Island Park in Downtown Fargo provides opportunities for many different types of sessions.  From elegant to casual, the gazebo can add an extra layer to your images that really makes them stand out.  Throughout the park there are also other natural elements that can be used so that the gazebo doesn’t have to be in every photo, but I love using it to help frame portraits.

Lindenwood and Gooseberry Mound Park

Lindenwood and Gooseberry Mound Park are the perfect pair for engagement sessions. When the bridge is down, it’s fun to use both sides of the river to get two totally different looks. These parks provide a beautiful backdrop any time of the year, but taking images in the fall can really highlight some of the natural beauty of this area.

Lion's Conservatory Park

Lion’s Conservatory Park offers a beautiful wooded backdrop for any engagement session. There are plenty of options here at any time of the year to paint your images with a beautiful backdrop.

Oak Grove

I love coming to Oak Grove in the fall for some of the colors that pop from the trees but it is also pretty at any time of the year with the lush trees and wooded area.

Trollwood Park

Trollwood is one of my favorite places to take pictures at. This is one park where the Willow Trees shine and are the perfect frame for any engagement session. I also love the natural foliage that is by the river there, as well as all the lush green colors in the spring and summer months.

Downtown Fargo

Downtown Fargo is one of my favorite places to take photos with more of an urban background. There is so many different things we could use from the Ivy wall to the busy sidewalks, the Fargo sign, and beautiful landscaping during the summer months. Downtown is great any time of year and can accommodate elegant or casual photo shoots.
